We offer a wide range of activities from sports to arts and crafts and specialist weeks – something for every age group and ability.
We pride ourselves on offering a minimum of 2 hours of physical activity each day as well as a host of other activities. We also offer daily swim tuition and the children have free play and time to relax at the end of the day when activities end.
Activities vary from day to day and are structured according to the age groups of the children. The days are action-packed between 9:00am and 4:30pm. From 4:30pm until hometime, the groups return to their base rooms where they can watch a short movie, play games or engage in free play.
Fun Bunch: 4-7 year olds
Our staff ensure that the needs of our youngest campers are catered for in a safe, secure and supportive environment. Activities are carefully planned and executed to support the development of your child’s social and interaction skills, allowing them to be creative and use their imagination – your child will have a great time and learn new skills at the same time!
Typical activities include; a daily swim session, games and sports, arts and crafts, playing with a variety of equipment such as building blocks, fancy dress and different size/ shape/ texture of balls. Also exercises, such as running, chasing, skipping and dancing which enhances their motor skills and all contribute to the ‘W.O.W’ factor in this group.
Action Gang – 8-10 year olds and Academy: 11-14 years old
Led by our dynamic team; the Action Gang and Academy groups learn and develop skills through new experiences and opportunities. We ensure both groups have a wide range of activities to choose from; enhancing their skills set, confidence and self-esteem.
Typical activities include a daily swim with rookie life guarding, sports, dance, board games, crafts, kayaking, climbing, bush craft, drama and cookery (where facilities are available). Plus the daily “pulse raiser” activity.
We encourage the Academy children to lead by example, in terms of behaviour and attitude and to take on more responsibility such as helping to lead activities. The older campers have exclusive access to additional activities including; snooker, table tennis and table football in the school’s games room.
We also have regular visits from sports and arts specialists, including; Olympic athletes, bush craft experts, the Forces and Services, artists and nutritionists.
